A prayer for unity during our time of vacancy:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for St Michael’s and Ascension churches which have been the centre of worship and praise for generations.
During this time of uncertainty as we seek a new rector, please help us to be united as we share responsibilities and seek to extend your kingdom.
Give wisdom to those who undertake the task of finding a rector who will care for and lead the flock and will reach out to the community with Christ’s love.
During this time may we continue to grow in faith, love one another deeply, care for those in need and welcome the stranger.
Lord Jesus, guard and grow your church as we serve you together during this vacancy.
